T & K Wagstaff – Biography

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERATerence & Katrina Wagstaff like working together in their home in the beautiful Cornish countryside . There they combine their varied skills to produce sculpture and artistic pieces predominantly in copper. The underlying ethos of their work is to capture the beauty of the natural form.

Terence’s apprenticeship was at Rolls Royce as a precision toolmaker. He worked as an engineer and also lectured at St Austell College. Since meeting Katrina, he turned his skills to works of art and during the past ten years has developed his craft to bring an organic and figurative feel to their work: capturing the essence of movement.

Katrina trained in furniture design at the London College of Furniture. There she applied her creative ideas into three dimensional forms. She began to enjoy working with metal there, too, appreciating its versatility and on moving to Cornwall in 1990, she taught design and technology at St Austell College where she met and married Terence.

Their combined backgrounds led to a marriage of respective skills, developing their stunning three dimensional works of art.
