Ann Kelly was born and grew up near the sea on the Wirral Peninsula in Cheshire. She attended the Laird School of Art and Liverpool College of Art and Design and subsequently taught painting, print making, ceramics and sculpture to both children and adults.
Ann now lives in the Cotswolds, where she is a member of the Fosseway Artists’ Group, and paints all over the UK as well as in France and the USA.
She visits Cornwall regularly, drawn and inspired by the quality of the light and vast expanses of sea and sky, as well as by the buildings that cluster the county’s harbourside villages.
Working in oils, her paintings are in private collections in the UK, Japan, France, the Netherlands and Australia.
