Jeanne Emery was born in Mevagissey and attended Fishponds College in Bristol.
She became a teacher and worked in Berkshire and Essex, but continued to paint throughout her career.
It was when she returned to Cornwall in 1982 that she began to work in watercolours, as well as oils and acrylics, inspired by her new surroundings.
Jeanne now works from her studio in Tywardreath, and is known for her still life compositions and landscapes.
