Philip Travers was born in London in 1945. He studied at Sutton School of Art and the London School of Printing.
After college he spent several years working as a designer and illustrator in studios in the London area and it was at this time that he became associated with the internationally renowned group `The Moody Blues` for whom he produced record sleeves in the late 1960s and early 1970s.
Philip moved to Cornwall in 1976 and returned to his true calling as a painter. For him the close proximity of the sea and the diverse and exciting landscape creates a stimulating environment in which to work.
