Victoria Smith was born in Berkshire and now lives and works on the Lizard Peninsula.
A bright new talent on the Cornish art scene, she graduated from Falmouth Art College with a degree in Fine Art and has continued to develop her painting practice in her home studio.
Victoria is inspired by her surrounding landscape and the relationships between interlocking forms, colours and lines which all have a strong influence on her work. Her paintings are often created from memory.
She says "My aim is to restructure these memories through a constant exploration and evolution of places, colours, journeys and impressions in order to re-establish clarity"
Victoria is a member of the Lizard Art co-operative of artists with whom she has had several group shows. She has also participated in many other exhibitions in Cornwall, Devon and Wales, as well the Interceltique Festival in Lorient, France and The Hackwood Festival in Hampshire.
