Latest News from THG
We’re delighted that the 2017 exhibition dates for The Fisherman’s Shelter, Portscatho are kicking off at Easter this year with Robin Mason. After the success of the 2016 exhibitions, it’s going to be a packed summer, so I hope you and your friends can get here again.
The Fisherman’s Shelter is just 50 meters from The Harbour Gallery in Portscatho and is this iconic building right on The Lugger behind the phone box.
Every first exhibition day will be from 6.30 – 8pm with a wine open evening where you’ll get chance to chat with both the exhibiting artists and the THG staff. Then on the following two days, the artist will be there from 11am – 4pm each day.
Here are the dates:
April: 15, 16, 17 – Robin Mason
April 28 – May 7 – Ben Taffinder (in the gallery)
May 26, 27, 28 – Joe Armstrong
July 21, 22, 23 – Hilary Stock
July 28, 29, 30 – Penny German
August 4, 5, 6 – Jenny Aitken
August 11, 12, 13 – Claire Henley
We hope you can make one or more of these exciting exhibitions and you’re welcome to bring or tell friends who may be visiting us.

I’ve had a little time (on my day off) and so wanted to give artists (and customers) an insight into the costs involved in running a gallery and the ‘fairness’ and ‘trust’ that should exist between an artist and gallery to help us both attain the same goals: seek beautiful works of fine art and promote the industry.
So, here goes… warts and all… (more)
