Clare Bowen grew up on Hayling Island, Hampshire and her main body of work is inspired by an ongoing draw of the sea.
She has recently moved to Newlyn in Cornwall and has immersed herself in painting the Cornish coastline. Clare loves to paint en plein air to capture the light and colours of the moment.
She has exhibited with the Royal Institute of Oil Painters, the Royal Society of Marine Artists & the New English Art club as well as winning awards with The Artist Magazine and Royal Talens. Clare took part in the Sky Landscape Artist of the Year in 2019.
