Born and living in Southern California, Kim was always surrounded by the wild beauty of the forest and developed an early appreciation for the outdoors, which she went on to explore with her painting.

With a fine arts degree in illustration behind her, Kim worked as a graphic designer for 11 years before becoming a full-time painter, mainly Plein Air.

“I enjoy the challenges Plein Air painting poses. Coping with the weather, the changing light and other outdoor painting obstacles has forced me to make quick decisions, to paint with commitment and above all, to have a plan for each painting.”

Today, Kim is a signature member of the Laguna Plein Air Painters Association (LPAPA), a member of the American Impressionist Society (AIS), as well as a member of the Southern California Plein Air Painters Association (SOCALPAPA), and an Artists member of the California Art Club (CAC).

She is also a “Gamblin Workshop Instructor” and a highly sought after painting instructor who teaches weekly classes in Orange County, California and THG is proud to have exclusivity of her work here in the UK.
