In my childhood, we would head for Sennen beach on Boxing Day to blow out the cobwebs and post-Christmas Day apathy. This picture was taken on a late morning in January when the sun had struggled to break through, leaving a gentle hue of light cast across the waves. For me, this is Cornwall at its best – the stormier the better, the beauty of the sea at war.
