Katy Barrell was raised in Cornwall on the north coast. She went on to obtain a BA Hons Degree at Bradford and Ilkley School of Art and Design and taught in schools throughout the UK whilst continuing to paint.
Inspired by the Cornish landscape, she worked hard at her craft, inspired by her creative family background, to create a unique balance of abstract and reality, capturing the fields and cliffs of her childhood.
Her vibrant work has sold worldwide including in collections throughout the UK, Luxemburg, California and Canada, and even as far afield as Australia, and we’re delighted to have her exciting textures, shapes and forms as part of THG’s stable of exciting artists.
